This is maybe the reason Brazil so well known by foreigners, the carnival in Brazil is a huge and intense party, the festival is very rich in what concerns details, preparation, professionalism and dedication. The carnival usually lasts for a week, even though most people party on the carnival for much longer than that we could say. As a matter of fact, there is a saying in Brazil that the year only really starts after the Carnival, some would consider it true.

Most people don’t know the following, Carnival is actually a competition in Brazil, many “Samba” schools disputes for the title of champion of the carnival, it’s actually a very rich industry, the schools are huge and they generate many and many jobs. The schools spend the whole year training and preparing themselves for the carnival, manufacturing the fantasies, writing the music and developing the concept, when the carnival finally come you can clearly see their passion for it and their will to win the champion title, to tell truth the competition they have in the carnival makes it even more charming and exciting.

The official and most famous competitions are heldion Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, not between those states, each state holds it’s own competition between their own schools. Rio de Janeiro is considered the biggest one. We could point a few of the most famous schools, those would, Mangueria, Beija-Flor, Salgueiro and many others, people are loyal to their schools, it’s not very different from football, their passion is the same. The competition is really dynamic in both states, there’s favorite for the title, every year is different as the schools must present a new concept, which totally changes the fantasies, cars, choreography, music and etc. There is an internationally known singer originated from Beija-Flor’s samba school, his artistic name is “Neguinho da Beija-Flor”, he is one of the most respected samba singers in Brazil.

If you’re not looking for competitions and all you want it to party you will have a great time as well. Rio de Janeiro has a great carnival to offer you, at many places, as well as São Paulo, now concerning partying, the best city would be Fortaleza, that’s where the most animated and exciting carnival parties takes place. Most tourists don’t get to visit Fortaleza, as they prefer to watch the competitions at Rio or São Paulo, both most Brazilians prefers Fortaleza’s carnival party over all other cities, people from all over the country travels to Fortaleza to party there.

All in all, it doesn’t matter what you’re looking for, you can find it in Brazil. If you’re amazed by Carnival’s culture and you’re dying to watch the competition between the schools you can visit either Rio de Janeiro or São Paulo, if you’re looking for animated and exciting parties, you can visit Fortaleza, you will be able to find a different party in each street.

Brazil is a rich country in what concerns physical space and nature, perhaps one of the richest in that matter. There are many cities located in beautiful panoramas which give them a certain charm, to say the least. Those cities are the most desired by the tourists, due their beauty and the many activities they offer, such cities are prepared with experienced and qualified guides, professionals with the abilities to explain you everything you need and want to know.

Rio de Janeiro would certainly be in the list of the most beautiful cities in Brazil, as a matter of fact it would most likely be the first one in the list. In Rio de Janeiro you will be able to find the most pleasant beaches, with beautiful people, sports and everything you might need. One of Brazil’s best hotels is also located in Rio de Janeiro, the Copacabana Palace. If you want to party you will find the best clubs in Rio de Janeiro, great attractions at a very friendly, affordable price, if you want to experiment the Brazilian’s cook you will also find the best restaurants at Rio de Janeiro as well, with huge structures, very qualified and educated professional and the most respected chefs, the food is certainly one of the most enchanting aspects of Brazil, the culinary is simply amazing, it’s vast and simple, which gives it such a nice touch. In the state of Rio de Janeiro there is also Angra dos Reis, it’s a beautiful city as well and it’s very visited by tourists, you can rent beautiful residences near the beach and enjoy the astonishing panoramas. Naturally, as every city in the world, there are some places that you shouldn’t visit in Rio de Janeiro at a certain time, the “favelas” or the hoods. Most people living there are honest workers, still there are many criminal and you should not visit such places without someone who knows it, to say the least. On the other hand, some “favelas” are an interesting aspect of Brazil as well, such as “Rocinha” Brazil’s largest favela, it’s almost a city, if it wanted to be emancipated it could be, they would do fine on their own, you can have an idea of how large it is.

There are other cities in Brazil that also deserves credit for their beauty, of course, such as São Paulo, which is considered to be Brazil’s business city, despite that it is a large and beautiful city as well, that can provide you a lot of fun and entertainment. You can also visit Fortaleza, the city has one of the most beautiful beaches of Brazil, it’s natives are very animated and love to party, there is Porto Alegre as well, it is a cold and somewhat nostalgic city, people are warm towards foreigners, it’s perhaps the best place to go if you are looking for peace and tranquility, there is no better city than Porto Alegre for that.

The country is very strong in that aspect, the need to qualify it’s services in the field is great for obvious reasons, and that is good because it made Brazil become one of the best countries for tourism in all over the world. They had to specialize themselves, and they did an amazing job with that. Both foreigners and natives are pleased with Brazil’s tourism services, which makes the tourism a very profitable activity for Brazil, therefore it’s fundamental for the country, such activity have been helping the country’s economy increase over the past years and it doesn’t seems like it will stop doing that so soon.

There are many places to visit in Brazil, you could spend an year trying to see everything and you wouldn’t be able, you will always wish for more.
Rio de Janeiro is also a very good city to travel to, as there are many places to know, such as the Pão de Açúcar, a beautiful panorama to see from there and of course Cristo Redentor, where there is a beautiful statue from Jesus Christ, both the statue and the view you from there are amazing, no matter when you go there, day or night, you will always find a lot of people visiting it.

There are many beautiful and qualified resorts in Brazil, in many cities all over the country you will be able to find one that pleases you, you can rest assured of that. As this is a aspect that attracts tourists, the country is investing on it, however resorts only started to grown in Brazil a few years ago, about 10 years. That’s when they realized resorts attracted many people and was a potential source to improve the economy. Plus, considering Brazil’s beautiful panoramas, resorts are very successful there.

Even though resorts industry started to develop itself not too long ago in Brazil, they already achieved a high level of quality and respect over the world, new resorts are being created all over the country, which one with it’s specific characteristics, while attempting to reach the very same goal, allow the customer to relax as much as possible, we have to admit that all of Brazil’s resorts succeeds greatly in that goal. That is most likely because of the beautiful environment those resorts offer as they’re usually located on the most beautiful cities and places of Brazil and of course the friendly affordable prices, that is one of the strongest Brazilian tourism’s weapon, as the country uses a different currency, weaker than U.S dollars the pricing for everything end up being friendly to tourists while very profitable for the country itself, it’s a very good dynamic for Brazil and the government is well aware of that, of course.

As the article already mentioned, Brazil is investing a great deal of money and effort on resorts in the last years, it became a fast-growing business on Brazil, the country has been doing a really good job on expanding it’s resorts, it’s an activity performed both by the government and private companies together, even foreign companies are investing in Brazilian resorts, as you can see it is a very good business opportunity, one thing that contributes to that is the favorable weather Brazil has.

Brazilian resorts offer a very wide variety of services, massages, sports where you will have highly trained professionals such as personal trainers assisting you, they have qualified nutritionists to aid with the aliments, they can serve you while you’re on the beach, on your room, on your massage table and everything you can possibly want and imagine. You can find resorts in Brazil at Florianópolis, Lins, Fortaleza and of course the beautiful and amazing Rio de Janeiro, where you will have a great time, both with the city’s amazing attractions and with the most qualified resorts in Brazil.

Brazil is indeed a great place to visit, you will never run out of options or fun, no matter which style is yours, you will have many things to do in Brazil and when your time is over, you will wish you could stay a little longer, actually you will wish you could stay much longer.

Best Hotel in Brazil
It’s hard to point out the best hotel in Brazil, they are all great, if there is a winner it doesn’t win by much. Tourism plays an important role on Brazil’s economy, and government is investing on it as much as it can along with private companies, many training courses for professional in the field can be found at Brazil, the country really invests in every aspect of tourism, that is helping the country’s development a lot. There are many hotels being created every single day and they’re all good, however there are many hotels with years and years of existence, of course they earned a respect the new ones still don’t have, which is perfectly natural. Some Brazilian hotels even rival with the most respected and expensive hotels over the world. This article will list the 2 most well-know hotels in Brazil, there is no winner between both of them, they are located in different cities and they are meant for different purposes.
In Brazil people say that, São Paulo is for business while Rio de Janeiro is for pleasure, that is quite true, not that São Paulo isn’t beautiful and appealing for tourism but Rio de Janeiro has much more to offer for tourists, it is one of the most beautiful places in the world after all. In São Paulo there is the Estanplaza Berrini Hotel, it is very respected and offers everything one would want or need. As a matter of fact it is the hotel that most receives celebrity stars, most of them Brazilian celebrities, actors, singers and all kind of artists, another curious and interesting fact is that many contests are held at São Paulo, and contestants all over the country are hosted at Estanplaza Berrini.
Rio de Janeiro’s best hotel would be Copacabana Palace Hotel, besides being close to the beach it offers everything there is to offer, one could not leave the hotel unsatisfied. It’s possible to meet many celebrities there as well, many of them choose Copacabana for holidays and vacations as well, not even Brazilians can get enough of Rio de Janeiro, Copacabana Palace is as beautiful as the city itself is. Most traveling packages are directed to Copacabana Palace Hotel, it’s perhaps the most famous hotel in Brazil for foreigners, therefore most tourists on Rio de Janeiro are staying there.

If you’re a tourist looking for a good hotel in Brazil, you will not have a problem finding one, as mentioned before, all of them are great and there are many hotels in every city, you can’t complain about not having options, but if you are looking for the best of the best you should go to Copacabana Palace or Estanplaza Berrini, you can rest assured that you won’t regret it and you will have perhaps the most pleasant and fun vacation you have ever had!

Federative Republic of Brazil
Brazil faces many and many, countless bad years in it’s government, corruption, bad management, lack of public interest and everything that can damage a country. There’s still a lot to be improved in that field and the country knows it won’t be an easy task, however it seems that this time both politicians and civilians are inclined to face all those problems and work together to solve them, Brazil is a large and rich country, it could be one of the greatest economies in the very near future if everything goes well with the country, that’s a very tough obstacle though. Ever since Brazil is Brazil it has been facing dramatic situations on the government, which kept the country from growing the way it should, again, that seems to be changing.
Brazil’s foreign politics aren’t very picky which makes it a good country for vacations, as a matter of fact the tourism in Brazil is very good for it’s economy, even though the country is facing many problems in several aspects, people who come to Brazil as a tourist won’t percept any of those problems. Brazil is a very beautiful country and it’s much better for tourists than it is for it’s own civilians.
Tourism is very stimulated by the government as it is good for the economy, again even though there are many problems with the government as a whole, you won’t percept it. Brazil has been improving in that area as time goes by, many presidents did accomplished great things to help Brazil develop itself into a powerful and pleasant country. The government system itself doesn’t differ much from the United States for example, the mechanics are pretty much the same, a big difference is the largest number of political groups, which increases the corruption a lot. For many years the corrupt politicians evaded penalties for their acts, that is still a reality until today, but it’s not as constant as it used to be. The actual president, Luis Inácio “Lula” da Silva helped with that, as he gave the Federal Police which would be Brazil’s FBI power to investigate and arrest politicians, a power they never had. Even though the police has more freedom to act because of president Lula, many ridiculous facts occurred, for many times the polices was investigating someone and very close to arresting him and they were told to drop the investigations, the reasons are obvious.
All in all, the government system doesn’t differ much from powerful democratic countries’ system, the way it is governed is what differs greatly, fortunately Brazil seems to be in the right track now, but it will take many and many years to solve such problems for good, we all hope they succeed as it is a beautiful country with potential. Despite all that, Brazil is still a great country to spend your vacations on, as a tourist you won’t percept any of the listed problems.

Brazil Imports
Brazil is in a very important phase, the country is growing at each year, the economy is getting powerful and consistent, however Brazil is far away from perfection, in many aspects. A lot of hard work was put into making the country better, both by the government and civilians as well, many and many improvements were made, goals were achieved but there are still many tasks ahead of the country. Brazil is promising but it could be easily broken by corrupt politicians, there are a lot of those in Brazil, perhaps in all countries, but Brazilian politicians always seems to get away with their deeds. That fact has been changing in the last couple of year, but there is still a long road ahead to solve that problem fully.
Regarding the economy, the country has been growing well, the current president, Luis Inácio “Lula” da Silva, was elected as one of the most acknowledged personalities, in the magazine they said he governed a big country with a powerful and growing economy. Brazil is a gifted country in many aspects, the nature, minerals, and all kind of resources, the country is also very good with some Warfare items and it exports many and many of those to foreign countries, which is great for the country as it is very profitable.
The exports and imports are very good to Brazil’s economy as it creates a dynamic that must be kept in order to keep the country’s good development. The most powerful Brazil’s partner in that area, both importing and exporting is the United States. Brazil exports to the United States many items, engine and engine parts, as a matter of fact Brazil is very respected in that area. Fuel an crude oil are also exported to the United States, Brazil exports many natural resources as well, such as sand, cement, stone and lime, as mentioned before Brazil is considered a gifted country in that matter, it’s nature is one of the richiest. Civilian aircrafts are also exported to the United States, steelmaking materials, steel products along with semi-finished or finished iron as well.
The imports are also high and they come mostly from the United States as well, as this articles pointed before the United States is the most powerful Brazil’s trade partner, and this is good for both countries. Brazil imports from the United States items such as computer accessories and peripherals, since we’re in that subject is worth mentioning that Brazil’s computer technology is also increasing greatly. Again, regarding it’s rich nature Brazil has a need for good maintenance material for it’s agriculture, because of that the country is always importing organic chemical from the United States.
The imports are many as well as the exports. One thing if for sure, Brazil is growing on a fast pace, the country’s potential is enormous, it’s such a shame that corruption and bad management kept the country in a very bad period for several years, fortunately that is changing.

The weather in Brazil can vary immensely from one part of the country to another, simply because the country is so large and spans nearly half of the continent of South America. There are many different climates represented in Brazil, and the weather in each region also depends on the time of year. A little research can ensure that you plan your vacation for a time of year and location that ensures the best possible conditions.

The North of the country is mostly tropical, in fact, the Equator cuts through the mouth of the Amazon River, but below the Topic of Capricorn the weather is mostly temperate. The Tropic of Capricorn crosses through Brazil at the latitude that crosses through the city of Sao Paulo. Total, Brazil has six different climatic regions: the equatorial region, the tropical region, the semiarid region, the highland tropical region, the temperate region, and the subtropical region.

Along the equator, temperatures can get quite high, the average is around twenty-five degrees Celsius, but summer highs can include temperatures of up to forty degrees Celsius. From one season to another there is very little change in weather around the equator. The same is true for the temperate region, although the temperatures are not quite so high.

The regions south of the Tropic of Capricorn represent the country’s other weather extremes. The winter in the south spans the months of June, July, and August, and there are quite often frosts as well as snowfalls on the high plateaus and mountainous areas in some states. In the states of Rio Grande do Sul, Parana, and Santa Catarina, snow is actually quite common in the winter, and the states of Riod de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Minas Gerais, and Espirito Santo also experience the occasional snow fall. Cities like Brasilia and Belo Horizonte are elevated about one thousand meters, and so have temperatures that are much more moderate. On the other hand, cities such as Recife, Rio de Janeiro, and Salvador are located on the coast and have warmer climates, but also have the luxary of enjoying constant trade winds. Cities like Curitiba, Sao Paulo, Florianopolis, and Porto Alegre are comparable to the subtropical climates of the southern parts of the United States and Europe, and their temperatures can also fall below freezing in the winter.

Through out Brazil, there is generally a fairly high level of rainfall. The average is between one thousand and one and a half thousand millimeters each year. Most of this rain falls in the summer, which spans the months between December and April, especially south of the equator. The Amazon region is known for being extremely humid and actually has a rainfall closer to two thousand millimeters to year, occasionally reaching as much as three thousand millimeters a year in parts of the western Amazon. The rain forest also has a three to five month long dry season.
No matter what the time of year or the intended destination, it is possible to find a time to visit Brazil that will offer beautiful weather.

Brazil is an immense country, covering nearly half of the continent of South America. It also has an extremely large and varied population, so it is not surprising that the country is the tenth largest energy consumer in the world and the largest energy consumer in South America. This extremely large amount of consumption is balanced by the fact that Brazil is also an important oil and gas producer in the region, including being the world’s second largest ethanol fuel producer.

Towards the end of the 1990s and the beginning of the twenty first century, the energy sector in Brazil underwent a market liberalization. The Petroleum Investment Law, which established a legal and regulatory framework and liberalized oil production, was adopted in the year 1997. However, the key objectives of the law were to create the groups called the National Council for Energy Policy or the CNPE and the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels or the ANP. The creation of these groups helped to increase the use of natural gas and increase the amount of competition in the energy market in Brazil, as well as investments in the field of power generation. This marked the ending of the state monopoly over oil and gas exploration, and energy subsidies were reduced. On the other hand, the government did retain a monopoly over key energy complexes and was still in charge of administering the prices of certain energy products.

Today, the current government policies regarding energy are focused mainly on improving energy efficiency, both in industrial and residential sectors, and on increasing the use of renewable energy sources. In order to ensure sufficient energy investments that meet the rising need for electricity and fuel in Brazil, further restructuring of the energy sector will be a definite necessity.

Until 1997, the company Petroleo Brasileiro S.A., also known as Petrobras had a monopoly over oil production in Brazil. Today, however, there are more than fifty oil companies involved in oil exploration. Out of these fifty, Petrobras is still the only global oil producer, and it produced over two million barrels of oil each day. It also distributes other oil products and owns many oil tankers and oil refineries.

In the mid 1990s, reforms of the power sector in Brazil were launched. In 2004, a new regulatory framework was applied to the sector. Today, about sixty-six percent of distribution of electricity and twenty-eight percent of power generation is all owned by private companies. In 2004, it was estimated that there were sixty companies that were operating in power generation and another sixty in electricity in distribution of electricity.

Brazil is also the third largest producer of hydroelectricity in the world, following only China and Canada. In 2004, it was estimated that over eighty percent of Brazilian power production could be attributed to hydropower.

Because Brazil is such a large country with such a varied population, energy is an important issue for the Brazilian government to be constantly addressing. Efficiency and conservation of limited resources are all issues that must be considered as they have an immense impact upon lifestyle in Brazil.

Brazil is an extremely vast country and through out its sometimes tumultuous history it has played an important role in world politics. Today, the Ministry of External relations is the government faction that is responsible for the management of all foreign relations issues regarding Brazil. The foreign policy that Brazil has created in recent years shows that the country is truly emerging as a world power, and these policies are designed to protect the country’s national interests and security, as well as its ideological goals and economic prosperity.

The era between the Second World War and the year 1990 was full of great expansion by both democratic and military governments who were looking to increase Brazil’s worldly influence and pursue a state led industrial policy as well as an independent foreign policy. Most recently, Brazilian foreign policy has aimed most directly at strengthening ties with other South American countries as well as engaging in multilateral diplomacy organizations like the United Nations and the Organization of American States, and sometimes acting as a countervailing force to United States political and economic influence in Latin America.

Brazil holds a unique position as it is a regional power in Latin America, a leader among many developing countries, and also an emerging world power, and so its foreign policy reflects all of these roles. Generally, Brazilian foreign policy is based on principles of multilateralism, peaceful dispute settlement, and a lack of intervention in the affairs of other countries. Brazil does however engage in multilateral diplomacy through participation in various organizations, and is increasingly developing important ties with developing countries in the continents of Asia and Africa.

One example of this multilateral action and Brazil’s role in developing country is their current command of a multinational United Nations stabilization force in Haiti called the MINUSTAH. It is important to keep in mind, however, that Brazilian foreign policy has a tendency to emphasize regional integration before unilateral prerogatives, through organizations like the Union of South American Nations and the Southern Cone Common Market or Mercosul.

The country’s trade policy nicely compliments the political, business, and military ventures of Brazil. The Ministry of Foreign Relations continues to dominate the creation of trade policy today, which sometimes causes the country’s commercial interests to be subsumed by a larger foreign policy goal, one example being enhancing Brazil’s influence through out Latin America and the world. Concluding meaningful trade agreements with developed countries like the United States and the European Union would probably be immensely beneficial to Brazil’s long term economic self interests, but the Brazilian government has generally prioritized its leadership roles within organizations like Mercosul and so expanded trade ties with countries in Asia, Africa, and the Middle East instead.

Today, relations between the United States and Brazil are generally quite warm and friendly, which is excellent news for American tourists who which to travel to Brazil. Though they often differ on foreign policy ideals, the two countries share a common goal of stability in many developing countries.
