Brazil Travel Packages

Sometimes if you are thinking of going somewhere that you have never been before it might be a good idea to go on a Travel package or take a travel tour.  What you choose can really depend on how much time you will be spending in Brazil and how much autonomy you wish to have.

There are packages that will just cover the Airfare and accommodations with a few extra things thrown in. They will often throw in a few things like cover charges for clubs, transportation around the city, travel to and from the airport and some meals.  These kinds of packages would be good for someone that likes to do some exploring on their own but wants to have the basics covered.  You can often get a better deal than you would if you purchased your airfare and accommodations separately and some of the extras can give you some added convenience.

If you are looking for something more substantial there are also packages that will be very comprehensive.  You can find a package that will start out in Rio de Janeiro and give you a day or two there, and then move on to some of the more natural wonders.  In the day or two that you get in Rio you can see the beaches or go and visit the statue of Christ the Redeemer.  The tour will often end up in Rio de Janeiro again so that you can catch anything you missed.  In between you will often see things like the waterfalls, the savannas and a glimpse of the famous rainforest in Brazil.  One of the advantages to a tour like this is that you often go with a group of people, and many people find that they forge lasting friendships on these tours and will book future vacations and tours with the same people.  You can also compare notes on the middle of the trip so that you can get the most out of your second trip to the city.

If you are more of an adventurer, you can choose one of the eco-tourism packages.  They will give you a really good look at the natural wonder of Brazil that is unparalleled in the world.  You should be ready if you take one of these tours, you will often be roughing it and as the design of an eco-tour is to not leave a footprint on the land you might find that you miss some of the amenities that you would normally find in your hotel room.

Whenever you are traveling to Brazil make sure that you get your visa requirements in order well ahead of time.  It doesn’t cost much to get a visa, usually just over $100 USD but not having one could mean a disaster in the place of a dream vacation.  When you get there, do your best not to look like a tourist and make yourself a target.  Carry only what you need and you will worry less and enjoy your vacation more.
