Travel In Brazil

If you have never had the opportunity to travel to Brazil, you are missing out on one of the most majestic and beautiful destinations in the world.  Brazil is a large country with a wide array of cultural, architectural and natural wonders to enjoy.  The tourism industry in Brazil is very advanced, and the country has much to offer someone looking for that dream vacation.

If you like the hustle and bustle of a big city, you can travel to either Rio de Janeiro or Sao Paulo.  Both are incredible cities with unique attractions and sights.  If you choose to go to Sao Paulo make sure that you check out one of the areas in Little Italy, where you can find excellent cuisine and clubs to entertain you all night long.  If you go to Rio de Janeiro there are many sights that you will want to save some time to see.  The giant statue of Christ that stands atop Corcovado Mountain is certainly an icon that represents the city and should be part of anyone’s travel plans.  Rio de Janeiro was once the capital city of Brazil and it is steeped in a rich history.  There are also world-famous beaches like Ipanema, so there is something for the whole family in the city.

These are not the only urban destinations in Brazil.  There are fourteen cities in Brazil that have a population over 1 million, and each of them has their own unique flavor and appeal.  Salvador is a more laid-back city and also boasts a street carnival that attracts many people from all over the globe.  Brasilia is the current capital city of Brazil, and has beautiful architecture and museums for the tourist interested in this history.  It is a little easier to get around in Brasilia as compared to other cities in Brazil, and it has been declared a World Heritage Site.  Fortaleza is also a city you may want to enjoy, particularly if you desire a vibrant nightlife, upscale seafood restaurants and white sandy beaches.  There are certainly many beautiful urban destinations to visit in Brazil, but if you are planning on seeing more than one of them, do take the time to check out the distances between them.  Brazil is a very large country, and you may want to carefully plan your travel time around that.

On top of the great cities in Brazil, there are many natural wonders that you will want to take in when you are there.  The Amazon rainforest has one of the most diverse biological places on earth and you will marvel at the wildlife there.  You can also take in the rich plant life in the Atlantic forest with its high canopies and stunning plant life.  Pantanal is the largest wetland in the world, and is home to many fish, reptiles and birds that you have surely never seen before.

There is so much to do and see in Brazil, so if you seek a destination where you can find just about everything, consider Brazil.  The tropical weather and the friendly people will make your trip absolutely unforgettable.
