Travel to Brazil
Brazil is a stunningly beautiful and vast country, and if you are planning on traveling there you will want to do some research and discover where in Brazil you would like to go and what it has to offer that will interest you. Many people don’t realize just how large the country is, but to give you an idea, it ranks number five in the world in both in terms of population and by actual land area. It has over 4500 miles of coastline and as you can imagine many amazing beaches.
Brazil can cater to the needs of almost any tourist or group. If you are looking to have a family vacation, it is a country with incredible culture, architecture and natural beauty. Exploring the natural wonder of the Amazon Rain Forest or the majestic lakes and rivers in Brazil will be captivating to any traveler, young or old. If you plan to bring your children with you, choose a destination that will hold both their interest and yours; many children will be fascinated by the culture of cities like Rio de Janeiro or Sao Paulo.
Your children have also grown up in a different world than we have, and they may enjoy sharing an eco-tourism vacation with you. Over the last few years the number and quality of the eco-tourism industry in Brazil has increased. Eco-tourism is not simply viewing the natural beauty of an area, but doing so in a way that provides as much protection for the area as it does damage. There are now over 100 facilities that are true eco-tourism destinations in Brazil and you can enjoy one or more of them with the knowledge that you are helping to preserve the distinct natural beauty of the land.
When you get there, you will need to have access to money. Traveler’s checks are not widely accepted and they will not likely provide you with a favorable exchange rate either. Automated banking machines are available almost anywhere in the country, even in the smaller towns. You can feel fairly confident that you can obtain your money that way, and it is a good idea to bring a credit card or two. Not all places will accept the same credit cards and you will generally get the best exchange rates using this method. The credit cards will work well in the larger stores, restaurants and hotels, but it is a good idea to bring some cash along as well. If you are negotiating with a local merchant, the price is often not fixed and cash will often give you a greater discount than any other payment method.
When you go to travel to Brazil, you will find that the bus may be the best way to get around the country. The buses are comfortable and affordable and they will take you just about anywhere you want to go. There are a few trains, but the rail system is not extensive and not in the best shape. You can rent a car but be aware that driving there may not be like you find it at home. Road safety is not at a premium like it is in many other countries.
Do a little research on traveling to Brazil and you are bound to enjoy an amazing vacation in a place that has so much to offer.
